Many teams publish governance metrics inside decks that never leave the leadership folder. A weekly note—two pages at most—can summarize what changed, what broke, and what decision is needed by Friday. Start with a fixed outline: signal, source, owner, next action. Link to tickets instead of pasting screenshots.

Keep language operational. Describe the customer-facing impact of a control drift in one sentence, then list the remediation path. When metrics disagree between systems, document the reconciliation approach rather than hiding the gap. Reviewers appreciate seeing how you handle inconsistency.

Rotate authorship so platform, security, and data office voices appear in the same template. Consistency of format matters more than polish of prose. End each note with a “non-goals” line to prevent scope creep during meetings.
